Laboso Caring and Regenerative Society Foundation just launched a scholarship programme that aims to support underprivileged children towards achieving their educational goals. SCHOLARSHIP FUND GOAL: $56,800﻿LATRINE AND FENCING FUND GOAL: $1000Supporting Underprivileged Students: Laboso Caring and Regenerative Society Foundation. We are thrilled to announce that the Laboso Caring and Regenerative Society Foundation has just launched a scholarship program aimed at supporting underprivileged children in achieving their educational goals. Thanks to our generous donors, 66 students have been given the opportunity to attend secondary school. Without your support, these children would remain in villages with little hope for the future. We extend our deepest gratitude to our donors for making this possible. Through your previous contributions, we have been able to purchase learning materials, uniforms, boarding supplies, and cover tuition fees for part of our team. Tuition fees has a budget of $17k per year and will go for the next three years. <a href="https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1qgKp18_6Dx8SugwVg0hK5AGmbArz5Iky?usp=sharing" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1qgKp18_6Dx8SugwVg0hK5AGmbArz5Iky?usp=sharing</a> Scholarship Funding Overview:<ul><li>The students will study in secondary schools for four years with an annual budget of $17,200 for each year from 2024 to 2027, amounting to a total of $68,800.</li><li>So far, we have received $12,000, leaving a balance of $56,800.</li><li>This remaining $56,800 will cover all academic costs for the 66 students over the next three years.</li></ul> CHILDREN LEARNING AND CARE CENTRE LABOSO Caring and Regenerative Society Foundation launched a Children Care and Learning Centre early this yearOur main aim is to give educational support to the underprivileged children between 3-15 years old as well as giving them the basic needs.Through our well structured methodologies, we have so far registered 80 pupils to the school St. Barnabas Sofia Junior School.The school has few facilities and still needs a lot to be in place.We are currently offering the following levels of learning in line with the Kenya Education system:Play Group APlay Group BPre-primary 1Pre-primary 2Grade 1Grade 2Each level should be in a separate classroom. <ol><li>We have 3 classrooms,</li><li>some pupils still use the church room nearby.</li><li>We have less furniture,</li><li>Few sanitation equipment,</li><li>less learning materials,</li><li>a temporary office</li><li>a temporary kitchen.</li><li>One temporary latrine</li></ol><img src="https://giveth.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmRXvEM3jSG5jaECTVnBVNjPQ3CLNokUZMfAbSt79Yo4wp"><img src="https://giveth.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmSuDR7SUABn3FUJPG1Kp5pkXHNhGw7Ng5j8pa24Mp5mDS"><ol><li>School is open and needs fencing</li></ol><img src="undefined">The following are very necessary for the school:<ol><li>Better latrine</li><li>Fencing the compound</li><li>Addition of 3 classrooms</li><li>More learning materials eg books</li><li>Sanitation equipments</li><li>Teachers and staff Remuneration</li><li>Better kitchen.</li></ol> Urgent Needs:<ul><li>Our underprivileged children in the pre-primary and primary school at our newly established Children Care and Learning Centre will be reporting back to school in two weeks. Currently, we have only one temporary pit latrine shared by 80 pupils and staff. We are urgently in need of better infrastructure, particularly improved latrines. If we do not construct a better facility, the school risks being closed by the government due to health concerns. With a cost of $1000, we can build a better latrine and fence the school compound.</li><li>We are happy to inform you that through your donations, we have just began the construction of the latrine. We hope to have the latrine ready for use when our pupils resume classes in one week time. Please help us achieve this goal. At a cost of $1000, we are able to build a better latrine. Eighteen of these students have been sent home due to outstanding fees, as they attend larger schools with higher costs.
