The Salva Terra Foundation is an organization committed to rural development and the pursuit of a sustainable future for our communities. To advance in this mission, we have decided to incorporate innovative technologies such as Web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies. Through the implementation of these technologies, we aim to inform and educate our communities about their benefits and applications. We are teaching people how to use Web3 to access information, resources, and opportunities in a secure and transparent manner. Additionally, we demonstrate how blockchain can enhance product traceability, ensuring the integrity of records and fostering trust in our operations. We are also exploring the use of cryptocurrencies to promote financial inclusion and economic development in our communities. We teach individuals how to use cryptocurrencies as a secure and fast exchange method, overcoming financial barriers and encouraging active participation in the local economy. By incorporating these technologies, we are empowering our communities to harness the advantages of digitalization and build a sustainable future. In addition to our work in sustainable agriculture and environmental protection, we are providing people with the necessary tools to develop digital skills and participate in the digital economy. The Salva Terra Foundation takes pride in being a pioneer in our communities by implementing Web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies in the context of rural development. We believe that these technologies have the potential to positively transform our communities, enabling us to move towards a more equitable and sustainable future. Our purpose remains the same: to provide comprehensive support to the communities, focusing on their social, nutritional, agricultural, environmental, and economic development. Now, with the incorporation of Web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies, we are further strengthening our work and opening new opportunities for the growth and prosperity of our rural and urban communities. At Salva Terra, we apply techniques of mineralized organic agriculture, such as family and community gardens, to supplement the food basket of participating communities. This facilitates access to fresh and nutritious foods, such as vegetables, fruits, and tubers, free from agrochemicals. Additionally, we encourage communities to develop sustainability skills, such as the utilization of organic waste for compost production (vermicomposting, composting, biodigesters, microorganisms), proper waste separation and disposal, protection of natural resources, and consumption of local products. By bringing knowledge to the territories we intervene in, we promote the growth and development of communities. We not only focus on productivity but also on the integral development of individuals, fostering the identification of individual skills and strengthening collective social ties. Why Salva Terra ExistsThe Salva Terra Foundation was born from the dream of its founders to share the knowledge acquired at the University of EARTH with their country. Although initiating this idea and creating a company was not an easy process, we received support from the Rodrigo Arroyave Foundation, who provided guidance in establishing the foundation. Over time, since 2011, this dream has become a reality, thanks to our participation in different projects that have allowed us to acquire experience, knowledge, tools, and techniques that directly benefit the communities we work with. Our purpose is centered on providing comprehensive support to the communities we intervene in, focusing on the development of rural and urban productive systems that contribute to the social, nutritional, agricultural, environmental, and economic development of each community and territory.
