Ukraine faces a mental health crisis. Millions of citizens, especially those impacted by the war, suffer from debilitating mental disorders such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Veterans, in particular, bear the heaviest burden, yet existing treatment options are often ineffective, leaving many without relief. While traditional therapies fail to address this urgent need, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy shows great promise. However, due to current laws in Ukraine, this transformative treatment is unavailable in state-funded medical institutions, including military hospitals, as it is not yet part of national treatment protocols. As a result, only a select few can access this critical therapy in private clinics, leaving countless others in desperate need.
