Good day ladies and gentleman. In a World where a lot of people seek happiness ( it should rather be, fulfilment and purpose), I have embarked on a mission to help others by supporting the local Animal Welfare and NPO's in need. This article shares my (hopefully) inspiring story and the steps I have taken to try create a community-based, social media platform to promote and assist these organizations in need. Thus finding my purpose and fulfilment we all desire and should strive for. “Everyone has a purpose, and fulfilling our purpose will make us happy. Whatever our individual purpose is, it will always be to use our abilities to add something good to other people’s lives and thereby add to our own.”― Donna Goddard, Writing: A Spiritual Voice The Beginning of a DreamI have always wanted to help people but lacked the resources and skills (my trade is something completely different to what I am trying to do here) to do so.I adopted my 1ste cat from the Animal Welfare almost 10 years ago. Years later one rainy morning I heard a "meow" outside, I called out and this tiny Kitten, soaked and cold came up to my door, looked at me and then she ran away! The next morning it was almost the same story, heard the "meow" and called out, she came up to the door, I slowly put down some milk and food and as they say, it was tickets!A few years later I would read on Facebook an absolutely horrible story, some naughty kids had gotten hold of a kitten - had kicked and beaten her so bad that hey had to put her down, it broke my heart. I could not (still can't, bringing tears to my eyes as I write this) fathom how someone can do such a thing, where all that Kitten wanted was to be cared for, loved and live it's life, but hateful people took that away. I went on the Animal Welfare's website that very minute and found my 3rd kitty cat, I just wanted to give her a life she deserves, to be loved and cared for as everything and everyone should be. This experience sparked a desire to make a difference in the lives of animals and the people who care for them. The Birth of a Small BusinessTo bring awareness to NPO's and organizations in need, I started a small business. I went to visit various NPO's to understand their needs and then source volunteers to help by donating or providing hands-on assistance. The Animal Welfare, in particular, is in dire need of funds to pay for customer's unpaid bills, medical supplies, and the construction of a dispensary with a safe for high-schedule medication. A Social Media Platform for ChangeThe goal of the business is to use a central social media platform to promote and get assistance for NPO's and other organizations in need. By sharing before/during/after work done at the NPO's, the platform aims to raise awareness and inspire people to help. The Impact of the CampaignThe funds raised from the campaign will be used to cover the Animal Welfare NPO's unpaid bills and medical supplies payments that have defaulted. This will help the organization continue its vital work in animal welfare and support the community it serves. The Future of the MissionIf this campaign is a success, it will lay the foundation for future projects to help other NPO's in need, such as the Night Shelter and Doors of Hope, an organization that provides a safe and anonymous way for mothers to hand over their babies for adoption. A Call to ActionThis (hopefully) inspiring story of my journey to help others demonstrates the power of individual action to make a difference. By supporting this campaign and the efforts, you can help improve the lives of animals and people in need while finding fulfillment in your own life. For an example on what can be done: I have sourced a local plumber/electrician and a builder that are willing to help by bringing water to them when there is no power (we get power cuts up to 9 hours per day).
