Hello, my name is Eshan Matheesha I am 18 years old and currently living with my grandparents in Sri Lanka. Life has not been easy for us. Sadly, I lost my parents at a young age, and since then, my grandparents have taken care of me. They are elderly and have always done their best to ensure I have a roof over my head, food on the table, and access to education. However, due to the current economic crisis in Sri Lanka, our situation has drastically worsened. My grandparents, who rely on a very modest income, are struggling to meet even our most basic needs. It is heartbreaking to see them worrying about how to provide for me when they themselves are in dire need of assistance. I am a hardworking and determined student who has always valued education as a means to build a better future. I have been preparing for my upcoming exams, which are scheduled for December this year. These exams are critical for me because they will determine my ability to pursue higher education and secure a stable career. Unfortunately, I had to stop attending my tuition classes because we could no longer afford the fees. This has been a significant setback for me, as those classes were essential for my academic preparation. In addition to my education, even our daily survival has become a challenge. Some days, we struggle to have enough food to eat, let alone think about other necessities. Watching my grandparents go through this hardship is incredibly painful, and I am determined to do everything I can to improve our situation. I am reaching out to you today with a humble request for your support.
