A closer look shows that there are still far too many vehicles on the road with empty seats. One solution to this problem is the carpooling system, which is very efficient. It is this solution that Tucána comes to set up and thus helps Costa Rica in its development.How does carpooling work?Carpooling is a way of transportation based on a system that has always existed: helping each other during a trip, and sharing available places. But with the increase in the quality of life and the arrival of individual means of transport, we have lost this way of traveling (one person = one car). Especially in the period 2020-2022 with the recent world events.What Tucána will bringWe create cohesion between drivers and passengers by bringing them together to share trips. Attention! A user who rents the seats of his car is not a chauffeur, he/she is a driver. He is not paid by Tucána. He only uses the platform to publish his trips and to make money for the pleasure of traveling, meeting people, and paying back his fuel costs. We are not in any way a home transportation service platform or a transportation network company.Financing: As mentioned above, the online payment system has not yet been implemented, which means that, for the moment, Tucána does not have a regular source of income through its commissions. Therefore, in order to realize this large-scale project, we are actively looking for donations (and eventually investments). The goal is to launch the project before the beginning of the high season 2022-2023, that is to say from the end of December until mid-May. This is the most touristic season in Costa Rica. So we still have several weeks to put everything in place, even though the first version of the app is already available (see below to download it). With an already small budget, Tucána was able to provide a beta version of the application and register the brand name in Costa Rica.
