Retzompantli is a collection of 212 skull sculptures, which were hand crafted out of cleaned up garbage from Tulum's beaches, streets and jungles. The retzompantli team then digitized the sculptures into "AR ready" 3D artworks and minted them as NFTs on the Ethereum Blockchain.Each NFT has a physical equivalent. The original, physical collection will be managed by the project team and will be exhibited around the world. It is a project that combines art, culture and technology to draw direct attention to one of the biggest problems of our society.In the artist's own words: „If we continue like this and do not raise awareness about the pollution in our world, we will end up like the tzompantli.
