For nearly 40 years, Greyston has provided occupational pieces of training skills and wraparound case management services to thousands of individuals in the New York Metropolitan Area. Just in 2020, Greyston generated over $11.2 million in overall economic impact to the local community, including over $4.5 million in public savings. In addition, 116 clients were served through workforce development trainings, earning approximately 25% above minimum wage when placed in jobs after completing Greyston programs. Furthermore, over 1,300 new jobs were created through inclusive hiring practices with partner corporations such as The Body Shop, Rhino Foods, and Giant Eagle.Greyston serves a community that historically has experienced high rates of multigenerational poverty and unemployment. In addition, over 1,000 people return to the community from jail or prison every year, including 200-300 youth, ages 17-24. Individuals come to Greyston with multiple employment barriers, such as limited education, mental health issues, minimal work experience, and substance abuse problems, which further limits employability and financial independence.Greyston provides assistance to individuals ages 14-65 with barriers to employment. Through occupational- and soft-skills trainings as well as wraparound case management services, Greyston is able to provide clients with a pathway to achieving and maintaining employment and financial independence. By donating to Greyston, you will be helping individuals receive the necessary skills trainings, and services to achieve self-sufficiency.
