Sikizana Trust was established to provide highly needed rescue for abandoned children and those who are victims of <ul><li>abuse, </li><li>neglect, </li><li>early marriage, </li><li>child labour among other forms of child abuse. </li></ul> Our vision is an Illuminated Community, A child A time. We have established a rescue centre where we provide temporary shelter and back to school programme, litigation and medication where needed. We rely on peoples' kindness to take care of the children.Majority of the children are brought when they are over 6-7 years yet they have never been to school. We thus established an informal school so that we accelerate their learning. It is this tuition school that now has now rooms and so children have to learn from outside under a tree. When it rains or it is very hot, learning stops. We are now pleading for support to put up a tuition classroom and buy chairs and tables so that we can help our children get education. We believe education is one way of running away from poverty.
