The Ethereum Honduras community began in 2018, aimed at creating educational hubs for anyone interested in learning about Ethereum as a problem-solving technology. We are a group of developers, designers, project managers & social entrepreneurs that participate in the Ethereum ecosystem. We have a Vision of contributing to Honduras´development through the integration & education of the Ethereum ecosystem & web3 use. The funding of public social goods & services, the adoption & creation of new technologies, culminating in people and community empowerment through employability, entrepreneurship & leadership. Mission - Integrate, educate & contribute to technology use, social good & employability. Our work ethic is defined by the following ideas:Innovation & opportunity - Procure constant idea generation and implementation through community projects, establishing new partnerships, and seeking out opportunities for individual learning & growth.Transparency - Our goals, activities, and funding are aligned and we publish quarterly reports of the community´s performance.Grassroots - We adhere to Ethereum´s ideals of subtraction & infinite garden values. Fostering individual initiatives & growth to form a strong community.Inclusion - We procure equal and fair inclusion of women and individuals from different parts of Honduras & backgrounds into the Ethereum ecosystem & web3. We are procuring inclusion considerations as a transversal theme in our activities.Communication - Being a grassroots community, good communication and coordination are essential, so we make a special effort in maintaining open & participative communication pathways.Leadership - A determining factor of our success is leadership from our members, knowing that different members can contribute with their different leadership styles.No scams - Within the community no trading or activity that takes money from others is promoted, avoiding any sort of scams.For 2022 & 2023 our work is more focused on laying the foundations for empowering individuals to empower the community towards Ethereum & Web3 involvement as innovative, viable options for individual professional growth, public goods funding, new technology use & community development.For this we have created three ongoing programs that require funding and are aimed at procuring grassroots growth:Ethereum Honduras Discover - scholarships, partnerships & opportunities for community members to participate in education & networking Ethereum events.Ethereum Honduras grants - CLR & small grants recurring funding calls for community engagement, public goods, and education projects.Ethereum Honduras Devs - A program focused on activities to educate in development, coding, design, and all the tools required to successfully work or create your business in the Ethereum ecosystem and further immersion by the Honduran community. aThese programs were created based on past experiences and the community's success, so they are intended to be a working platform for the following results:Facilitate acquiring new skills and knowledge for community members.Innovation.Networking.Develop new initiatives for web 3 projects.Empower and collaborate with community members in their roles within the Ethereum ecosystem & Ethereum Honduras.To keep the Ethereum Honduras community strong and growing we also carry out endless activities such as:Organize monthly meetups,Permanent social media & community communication,Special Events,Scholarships calls,ImplementingPartnershipsGenerate articles & metrics
