All you need is a ball is the slogan by which the World Freestyle Football Association (the WFFA) operates. The WFFA is a non-profit organisation governing the growth of Freestyle Football worldwide with a core objective of delivering community training, entertainment and education solutions.&nbsp; Based on 15 years of developing the world governing body for Freestyle Football, WFFA Co-founder Daniel Wood has developed a training course that gives anyone working with young people (even if they have never kicked a ball before), the resources, knowledge and ability to use the power of attraction of the sport to actively engage Gen Z and Y audiences in their own community or school. The ContextYoung people are disconnecting from traditional sports, and one in every five children and adolescents in the world is overweight! On top of this…<ul><li>Sports facilities are becoming increasingly expensive to access and safe spaces to play especially in densely populated towns and cities make playing sport difficult</li><li>Rural or underdeveloped communities and destinations often lack the resources and access to opportunities for talents to be seen and progress</li><li>Teachers are constantly seeking new techniques and ways to engage their students in schools. They are also always looking to build their own knowledge base and capacity to deliver more</li><li>The importance of good mental health has never before been so widely recognised and getting access to sporting activity is a proven solution to developing it</li><li>Pandemic restrictions, densely populated cities, a dependency on waiting for a trainer to guide activity and most sports require a need to find teammates to play with</li><li>Coaches and youth workers are increasingly integrating Freestyle Football into their sports coaching sessions, but without the knowledge of how to optimize the environment and utilize the sport for educational outcomes</li></ul> SolutionA fund is being raised to cover the costs of training 300 teachers, young leaders and NGO workers during 2023-2024. The target participants will be an equal Female to Male ratio. Following this capacity building roadshow, over 50,000 young people aged 8-14 years will learn about diversity, equality and character building, whilst also learning exciting new physical skills with a ball, which they can continue to practice anywhere without the need of a coach or teacher. The training course will also then be delivered annually in every host destination of the major Freestyle Football events organized by the World Freestyle Football Association around the world. <img src="https://giveth.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmbCojan4uYv83eW9V7mRRs4zFZhpv7oEVMMSMN7pGouy7"> Each location during 2023 and 2024 will receive:<ul><li>Teacher training courses (targeting 100 participants per destination)&nbsp;</li><li>A toolkit for every participant for their own future use</li></ul> The teacher training course content (3 hours of length) includes:<ul><li>Learning the basic moves of Freestyle and Street Soccer (even if never kicked a ball before!)</li><li>Embracing Freestyle Football and creating the environment</li><li>Accelerated learning techniques</li><li>Using the sport to teach core life skills (diversity, inclusion, respect, confidence)</li><li>Fun games to play and use also in team building environments</li><li>Learning from failure</li><li>Child safeguarding&nbsp;</li><li>Measuring impact, growth and change</li></ul> Every participant will receive a toolkit, which will include:<ul><li>12 x progressive session plans (for use in schools and clubs)</li><li>Street Games manual (teaching games and activities anyone can play)</li><li>1 x Football (carbon neutral)</li><li>Certificate of completion</li></ul> <img src="https://giveth.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmR4F6UBtoANxgJkYnBKfWU6nF8AEtXA28fHNv2qSiQhSW"> Your contributions will enable all of the above to happen and allow the publication of multiple educational resources that can be subsequently accessed globally. The goal is to raise at least $150,000 USD in order to deliver the following:<ul><li>300 teachers and youth workers trained up and enabled to engage and transform the lives of over 50,000 young people</li><li>300 carbon neutral footballs distributed to communities worldwide</li></ul> Measured reports After 12 months and 24 months of the social impact achieved from the courses published along with credits to all donors (key metrics being physical activity levels, female participation levels, mindset and character building).
