With its network of canals and artificial islands, it testifies to the efforts of the Aztec people to build a habitat in the midst of an unfavorable environment, however, since the 1990s, Xochimilco's decreasing supply of spring water, the contamination of its canals, urbanization of the area, and the introduction of fish for commercial fisheries like the tilapia and carp (exotic species), which feeds on axolotl eggs, and eats its young, have greatly reduced its numbers.&nbsp;The axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum) is an amphibian belonging to the salamander and newt family, light brown in color and with external gills that crown its head like plumes. It lives among the chinampas on the lakes and canals of Xochimilco, its last remaining natural habitat. But these Mexican amphibians are impressive enough on their own, with the ability to regenerate lost limbs and stay “young” throughout their lives. Unlike other salamanders that undergo metamorphosis, axolotls never outgrow their larval, juvenile stage, a phenomenon called neoteny.&nbsp;The axolotl population at Xochimilco dropped from 6,000 per square kilometer in 1998 to just 36 per square kilometer in 2014, according to the latest census taken by Zambrano's and in 2006, the species was declared critically endangered (<a href="https://www.iucnredlist.org/species/1095/53947343" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.iucnredlist.org/species/1095/53947343</a>) due to habitat degradation and the pervasiveness of invasive fish in the lake, introduced decades ago in a well-intentioned attempt to create fisheries and alleviate food insecurity.&nbsp;The Bio-Ékaton project seeks to use the exotic species to produce bio fertilizer through an enzymatic hydrolysis process. We want to get Xochimilco environment back to regenerate conditions for endemic species between them the axolotl.&nbsp;We are looking 100,000 usd dollar for:1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Elaborate the executive project of a plant that processes 200 tons per month of exotic species.2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Carry out design of experiments compare traditional fertilizers against Bioékaton.3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Spread the results in social networks to obtain funding for two million dollars
