<h1>Preface</h1><p><br></p><p>This donation is for Aabida Khan who's raising funds for her 12 year old sister Sana Khan. Sana is undergoing treatment that involves chemotherapy and allogeneic stem cell transplant at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi, India. A couple of months ago, doctors at Max and AIIMS Delhi diagnosed her with a case of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), which is a type of blood cancer. The costs for everything involved including genome tests, biopsies, multiple chemotherapy sessions, regular blood and platelet transfusions and bone marrow transplant came as an unimaginable blow, the estimated cost for her treatment is INR 2,000,000 (approx USD 27,000). Her entire treatment up to this point has been entirely funded by generous souls all over the world. We are still falling short of INR 170,000 (approx USD 2,200). There have been no earnings in the family as her father was a daily wage labourer and has been unemployed since the pandemic hit. Their family is unable to manage even 5% of the amount as most of their savings went into her open heart surgery in 2015 and asthma treatment in 2019. She is a talented singer and dancer and also doodles a lot. We have to make her smile at the end of all this struggle. She's a bright child and has big dreams for her life. Please help her achieve them. We request you to kindly contribute towards the treatment and help Sana during this time of need. Each contribution is important!
