E.T.H.O.S. Emergency Transitional Housing Offering ServicesLooking to donate $USD? try our sister fundraiser here: https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/ethos2In 2018, the City of Olympia sanctioned a tent city adjacent to the transit center downtown dubbed the "Mitigation Site" for those struggling on the streets to have somewhere to rest and seek shelter. In late 2020, two-and-a-half winters and many tents later, a next step in creating a path to housing for downtowners was conceived when the City of Olympia contracted a local design and build firm to create 60 'micro-houses' to replace tents and offer more security and safety for those trying to get on their feet. E.T.H.O.S. is an inclusive fundraiser and auction to outfit the micro-houses at the Mitigation Site with amenities that will contribute to the effectiveness of the temporary space. By providing heat, electricity, storage, and organization, occupants of the site will have that much more ability to attend to the care provided them by various organizations and teams in the region; funding the basic necessities first enables us to help support and connect agencies of wrap-around care to tend holistically to individuals coming out of the poverty cycle.When basic needs are met at the Mitigation Site, funds from E.T.H.O.S. will be allocated to regeneratively-financing more ArtIsSolidarity fundraiser projects - to help house more people!During the build, hundreds of community volunteers and hired Mitigation Site workers came together to construct a village of transitional shelters that will provide the springboard for support and crucial connection to ultimately lead people to the route of permanent housing - in whatever form that might take. ArtIsSolidarity is borne out of a community coming together to resolve a public health crisis: homelessness. We're commissioning local artists to mural-ize emergency transitional shelters and tokenizing their work for an auction to raise funds for outfitting a sanctioned "Mitigation Site" with necessary amenities like bed frames, heaters, shelves. By employing artists, effecting a pay-it-forward model of shelter purchasing and placement, and connecting with hubs of wrap-around service providers who will follow up with folks in shelters coming off the street, we can then introduce NFT and cryptocurrency as a means of abating poverty for those willing to learn the space, and even sponsor individuals' pursuits and crafts to help re-stabilize them. Find out more by checking out this link:https://linktr.ee/artissolidarityFollow Us On Twitter!@SolidarityArt
