The program hope to host events for young people and different stakeholders to educate them on how crypto can be used for public good. This project aims to educate youth about cryptocurrency and how it can be used for public goods. Educating young people on overview of the history of the first cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin, Celo network, Solana, Base, Arbitrum network, Stellar, Ethereum and how it came to be the most valued digital asset. Educating young people, the concept of buying and selling it, as well as the risks and rewards of investing in cryptocurrency and stay away from financial fraud. Supporting this initiative will help to increase youths understanding about cryptocurrencies. How to encourage more people to start accepting cryptoDue to fraudulent activities being committed by some of the crypto user, government and parents discouraged their youth and citizens from using cryptocurrency. Proper education on the use of crypto, and how it can be used for public good, will encourage those who is against cryptocurrency to have a rethink of their action against it.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;At Helpers Social Development Foundation, we believed that lasting change happened when children and youths have access to their social needs. We are accepting cryptocurrencies because we believed that crypto will help us to restore and build abandoned public institutions. <h2>What Helpers Foundation have achieved with cryptocurrency donations</h2> With the help of our crypto donors, we established three (3) nursery and primary schools in Enugu State with the aim to offer high quality free and low-cost education and mentoring to underprivileged children in Nigeria.We believed we can build a system more than the government because we know our people's needs and how to solve them. Why not support our initiative? What we have achieved through donations received.<ol><li>We Built toilet facilities in public schools using open defecation. We constructed the toilet facility with the aim to end open defecation in those schools in order to prevent children and teachers from contracting diseases while learning.</li><li>Classroom building ongoing project.</li><li>Solar-powered classroom</li><li>Constructed solar powered clean water in schools.</li><li>Distribution of free school supplies in public schools to prevent underprivileged children from missing or dropping out of school.</li><li>we established Helpers Foundation Nursery and primary school in the year 2021 in the Oji-River area of Enugu State with the aim to offer free education and mentoring to underprivileged children in Oji-River.</li><li>Child marriage and sexual abuse prevention campaign and more.</li></ol> Challenges affecting children in NigeriaThis is truly a trying time for underprivileged Nigerians as many people have lost their jobs due to Covid-pandemic and economic hardship. 18.5 million children dropped out of school, and 10.5 million are girls, they struggle daily for not having the tools needed to help them in school. Poverty regardless of level is linked to reduced academic achievement. Students who live in poverty come to school every day without the proper tools for success, as a result, they are commonly behind their classmates physically, socially, and emotionally. SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN

Whisper Team

Whisper is a high-impact charity, registered in the UK and Czech Republic, that runs a children’s hospital and a maternity unit in Jinja, Uganda. The Whisper hospital is a happy, caring, child-friendly place providing high-quality healthcare. Whisper provides full medical cover 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and this allows many lives to be saved. We provide a free ambulance service in the local area, mostly for children, and we take children to other hospitals as well as our own. We also have a nursing school onsite, training nurses to internationally recognized qualifications. We can put donations of any size to very good use. We have a greenfield site on the edge of our city where we plan to build a purpose-built hospital once we have the funding.<img src="https://giveth.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmTvL5Sy8gPfkRLLprpyqcjVeX6Vtj9nVDbLZX7Nvs4T1G">The average cost in donated funds of treating a patient is around $28; this average includes inpatients, some of whom stay for weeks. An overwhelming amount of people have evacuated from Gaza to Cairo since October 2023 with more than half of them being children. Exposure to occupation, war and uncertainty can cause a state of shock but children in conflict show remarkable resilience and can recover with appropriate assistance such as mental health support, child friendly spaces where they can play, and education programs. El3eza strives to be a sanctuary for these children to express their emotions, process their trauma, discover themselves, and feel empowered to follow their dreams and passions with the support of their community.&nbsp; The word el3eza is difficult to translate, however, you could compare it to a mixture of pride, dignity and/or resilience but it's not just a word... its something you feel. El3eza Centre is a place that cultivates this feeling within everyone that visits - the children never stop saying "!غزة العزة".(Gaza El3eza!) <img src="https://giveth.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmTUFoRwB6C6K878d1rC7zSgFYwdFg1A47jLkJWdz9Vefs"> El3eza offers the youth not only the safe space that they need to process their trauma with others who can relate but also the resources and support to define who they are and what lies ahead for them on the horizon of their currently undetermined future. This happens through creative activities as well as opportunities for expression, discovery, and empowerment. <h1>In the first 4 months</h1>The doors opened at El3eza Centre on July 15th 2024. Since then there has been an overwhelming sense of community established through numerous workshops, activities, and events. At least 1600 children have now passed through the doors. <h2>Football Program</h2>What started as a fun weekly game with 10-15 kids has developed into a full program consisting of 10 games per week involving more than 230 children each week. There has even been a Champion's League established and one of the players is in the process of being signed to Al Nasr Cairo Club professional team! <h2>Threads of Hope Program</h2>Tatreez, meaning ‘embroidery’ in Arabic, is used to refer to the traditional style of embroidery practiced in Palestine. In 2021, this art was recognized by&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UNESCO" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">UNESCO</a>&nbsp;as an important&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intangible_cultural_heritage" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">intangible cultural heritage</a>. The 'Threads of Hope' program hosted at El3eza aims to give Palestinian women in Cairo the opportunity to come together to learn this tradition while offering a safe space to relate, process their experiences, share their stories and form meaningful connections. As the women progress, they are creating pieces that are sold to support their collective efforts and give them an opportunity to generate income to support their families. These weekly sessions have given them a sense of purpose, igniting their existing passions and enabling them to pass down their traditions to others in their community. They have choreographed performances for some of the cultural events hosted at El3eza and a few of them were even invited to <a href="https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1FuuKSXisu/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">perform at the Cairo International Film Festival 2024</a>! <h2>Cultural Events and Celebrations</h2>It is important to celebrate heritage and culture within community... especially when your culture is actively being erased. There have been a number of events hosted at El3eza that focuses on just this. Food, music, dancing, singing, sharing stories and breaking bread together are the key pillars bolstering these gatherings. <h2>Workshops and Activities</h2>In addition to the highlights above, El3eza offers a wide variety of ways to participate in the fun. Now that there has been a foundation established, we hope to not only expand on the programs already in place but also start some new ones. Below are a few of the new opportunities currently on the horizon. Self-Directed Learning Program for TeenagersWe will soon begin to offer more to the adolescent age group. As a teenager, navigating life changes is stressful enough not to mention when everything has been turned upside down. In collaboration with <a href="https://youtu.be/InUAShk7wZ0?si=SGJXJbm2A-JTI3sO" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Mesahat</a>, we plan to start a program for teens focused on self-directed democratic learning. Expanded Sports ProgramThe process has begun to build more professional football teams with regular training schedules and tournaments. The ultimate goal is to take one of the teams on an international trip to play against teams in South Africa. In addition to leveling up the football program, we are working to add other sports into the mix with opportunities to participate in sports like, basketball, swimming, and handball. <h2>Thank you all for your never-ending support! </h2>All donations collected by this project will be used to purchase supplies, provide snacks/drinks, and maintain the facilities.

Project ContextIn early May 2024, severe meteorological phenomena brought heavy rains to Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. A cold front combined with a low-pressure area over the sea and a moisture flow from the north resulted in intense and prolonged rainfall. This situation was exacerbated by another cold front coming from Paraguay, and the ongoing climate changes have been increasing the frequency and intensity of rainfall in the region, leading to more frequent and severe flooding. These events led to floods, landslides, and substantial damage, affecting thousands and causing multiple fatalities. The tragic weather event in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in today's numbers (05/10/2024), has resulted in 116 fatalities and forced 408,000 people to evacuate. The storms and floods since late April have also left 756 injured and 143 missing. Approximately 437 out of 497 municipalities in the state were affected, impacting around 1.9 million residents. DAO Brazil, an organization focused on empowering and including women in blockchain technology, mobilized to organize and distribute donations, with a special focus on helping women and children, who are often the most vulnerable in disaster situations. H.E.R. DAO is using its network and resources to ensure that basic necessities such as food, potable water, medicines, and hygiene materials reach those most affected by the tragedy. I saw the devastating effects of poverty on children and families in my community especially during pandemic and felt compelled to take action. The statistics are staggering. according to the Philippine Statistic Authority, 48% of our population is in the poverty level. And recently reported that 26.14 million Filipinos live below the poverty level threshold of about ₱12,030 per month for a family of 5. Children are the most affected by this problem. Our vision is to help end hunger and feed the hungry children. We believe that every child deserves a chance to thrive and have a full stomach. Our mission is to provide at least one complete meal a day, (1 rice and 1 viand) for children in high-risk and impoverished neighborhoods through weekly food distributions. Our goal is to reach 200 children and families each week through our food distribution program. Unfortunately, 1 out of 3 children in the Philippines suffer from stunted growth due to hunger and malnutrition, and 1.6 million children all over the Philippines go to sleep hungry not having eaten a thing. That is why we conduct the food distribution in the late afternoon to ensure that these children have access to a meal before going to bed. We understand that poverty and hunger are complex issues that require a multi-faceted approach, that's why we also provide education and resources to help these families break the cycle of poverty and hunger. Since its establishment in 2005, we have created and given hope and transformation for vulnerable children and the wider community.&nbsp;<ol><li>We have been rescuing and Nurturing Children by providing a haven for children who have faced adversity, including abandonment, violence, and poverty. Our rescue centre, offers shelter, education, and emotional support. Many children who once had uncertain futures have now grown into self-sufficient individuals, thanks to Sikizana’s care.</li><li>We take education as a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering future leaders. The New Century School is an informal school under Sikizana Trust and guarantees Education for All by offering free education to the rescued children.&nbsp;Late learners from the community also have the opportunity to catch up and receive education appropriate for their age.&nbsp;</li><li>Sikizana Trust actively engages children in environmental conservation. We teach the importance of tree planting, combatting poaching, and maintaining a clean environment to create responsible citizens who care for their surroundings.</li><li>The trust ensures that its facilities are disability-friendly.
