These issues have collectively reduced theproductivity and strained resources.Water shortage: due to uncertain rainfall and limited access to alternative water sources, the farmstruggles to maintain adequate irrigation. This has led to reduced crop yield and increased vulnerabilityto drought.Land ownership issues: the farms ability to expand and invest in long-term improvement is hindered bydisputes over land ownership. Without proper documentation kawagumba farms future is unseen.Difficulty in compensating farm labourers: with financial constrains limiting cash flow ,the farm hasbeen unable to provide consistent cash flow and fair wages to its dedicated workers. The Carbon Counting Club is an effort to reward small scale carbon sequestration in small holder farms and gardens. Hosted by the sole proprietor businesses Simple Solutions with Jim and has 1,000,000 of operations insurance as a payment provider. Each Carbon Counting Coin is 1LB of CO2 publicly proven sequestered by club members. No tokens have ever or will ever be minted and distributed for any reason other than carbon sequestration to maintain the 1CCC=1LB of CO2 standard. CCC is highly liquid with a deversified portfolio of assets supporting and supported by the CCC. This ensures that people doing the work we want to see done can cash out and that we support a broader range of impact with our efforts. The club also has been working on collaborative storytelling to raise awareness and demand for building liquidity for impact projects. There are a series of NFTs based on things from our story each one with attached liquidity to perpetually support the CCC and a wide range of other impact projects on Polygon. We also have a series of in game currencies used for in game activities that also supports public goods by its use. The impact assets the Carbon Counting Club has permanently locked liquidity for include USDGLO, EARTH, Nature Carbon Tonne, Base Carbon Tonne, Moss CO2, Littertoken and, JLT-B23 renewable energy credits. The club also holds permanently locked liquidity in wBTC, wETH, and Matic to drive value into Carbon Counting Coin and all the other associated impacts assets. Any and all funding recieved will be used to deepen the exsisting liquidity pools to support the on the ground works of the CCC members and all of the associated assets previously mentioned.

Some of our nodes are members of web2 volunteering networks such as Backpackers and Workaway and the demand for support from hosts and volunteers emerged. This cycle leaves them unable to invest in sustainable practices, leading to soil degradation from chemical-heavy agriculture. Young people, seeing no future in farming, migrate to cities, and when older generations pass, inherited land is often sold to large corporations that further degrade the environment with mechanized, chemical-intensive methods. This pattern threatens the livelihoods of rural communities worldwide, exacerbating poverty, environmental decline, and climate change. <img src="https://giveth.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmeTHBJitVv8hvRBPCsQPd6ZnEYu7mL9YseehxP7ms8TbW">Our SolutionGreen Evolutions ReFi Village will establish a regenerative ecosystem to address these challenges head-on, with four key IRL components:<ul><li> The Buffaloes Garden Distillery: We will build a distillery that purchases raw rice (12,457 kg/year) and sugarcane (14,286 kg/year) directly from 30 local farmers, producing 7,000 bottles of rum, vodka, and gin annually. The distillery will pay farmers 1.5x market rates in cash (19.5 THB/kg vs. 13 THB/kg), providing immediate financial relief and breaking the pre-selling cycle. Waste from the distillery will be repurposed into organic fertilizer, which will be provided to farmers for free, encouraging organic farming practices and reducing their reliance on costly chemical inputs.</li><li>Holistic Training Center for Sustainable Farming: We plan to establish a training center to educate 200 farmers per year in organic farming techniques, biochar application, and sustainable land management. The center will include greenhouses for year-round crop production, outdoor ponds for growing fish and irrigating crops, a composting zone to recycle organic waste into nutrient-rich compost, and a free-range chicken area to integrate poultry farming. In-person workshops and online courses will be offered to both local farmers and global audiences, spreading knowledge of regenerative practices and supporting our operations through participant contributions.</li><li>Biochar Production for Carbon Sequestration: We aim to produce 10 tons of biochar per year using rice hulls (2,491 kg from our rice processing) and local agricultural waste (e.g., sugarcane bagasse, maize stalks, bamboo). Biochar locks carbon into the soil for centuries, with 1 ton sequestering ~2.5 tons of CO2e (IPCC estimate). Our 10 tons will sequester 25 tons CO2e annually. This biochar will be applied to local farmland, improving soil health and reducing the need for chemical fertilizers, while contributing to climate change mitigation.</li><li>Biogas System for Sustainability: We will install a biogas system using cow manure to power the distillery sustainably, reducing reliance on fossil fuels. The slurry byproduct will be repurposed into additional organic fertilizer, further supporting farmers and closing the loop on waste.</li></ul>ImpactOur initiative will deliver transformative outcomes for the Isan community and the environment:<ul><li>Economic Empowerment: By paying 1.5x market rates and providing free organic fertilizer, we aim to increase farmers’ effective income, enabling them to reinvest in their farms and families while breaking free from the pre-selling cycle.</li><li>Environmental Regeneration: We plan to sequester 25 tons of CO2e per year through biochar, mitigating climate change, while regenerating 100 hectares of degraded soil with organic practices. The biogas system will reduce the distillery’s carbon footprint, and the training center’s greenhouses, fish ponds, and composting zone will promote sustainable farming methods.</li><li>Social Resilience: Training 200 farmers annually in organic practices—supported by hands-on learning in greenhouses, fish farming, composting, and free-range poultry—will equip them with diverse skills to farm sustainably, fostering community resilience. Burundi have out of 58% of children with malnutrition in some Rural localities, 95% of community live for agriculture, and livestock activities, unfortunately any family can produce the food to feed his family the following 1 month, in additional to lack of basically resources such food, people challenged by the non access the healthcare services, malmution, each, in rural minileu, on average 3% of cultivable land is lost due to soil degradation, fertile soil is washed away with rainwater because cultivable areas are denuded..
