The result being much faster page load times for all static content. 🟢Base32 and Base36 Encoding for IPFS/IPNS - We have updated both the eth.limo gateway and our DNS over HTTPS service to explicitly use Base32 encoding for IPFS CIDs and Base36 for IPNS peer IDs. ☑️LIMO takes public gateway services a step further by enforcing strong privacy guarantees such as never logging IP addresses or engaging in TCP fingerprinting. Limo now actively blocks FLoC (Federated Learning of Cohorts). This is a Google developed algorithm that tracks and correlates users based on their browsing history. Hey all, we're building free and open source tools to help you stay safe in web3! 👋 To use tokens in decentralised applications such as Uniswap you have to grant the application permission to spend tokens on your behalf - known as a token approval. Token approvals are an important part of using these apps, but can be dangerous if left unchecked. Bugs can exists and exploits can happen even in established projects, and by granting token approvals you are potentially exposing your wallet to these exploits. To keep yourself safe from exploits it is a good practice to regularly inspect and revoke your approvals. Revoke.cash comes in as a preventative tool to manage your token approvals and practice proper wallet hygiene. By regularly revoking active approvals you reduce the chances of becoming the victim of exploits. In many cases, phishing websites try to make you sign an approval while they pretend to be an NFT mint or other legitimate use cases. When these phishing scams happen, it is recommended to use Revoke.cash to mitigate the damage, but it is even better to prevent the scam in the first place. This is where the Revoke.cash Browser Extension comes in. The extension pops up whenever you are about to sign an approval and will inform you of the approval's details. This can help you prevent signing malicious approvals.

<h2>Background</h2>In August 2022, the US authorities blacklisted Tornado Cash as a "sanctioned entity," resulting in the arrests of two developers: Alexey Pertsev (The Netherlands, 2022) and Roman Storm (The U.S., 2023). Arrests of&nbsp;Storm and Pertsev are considered a <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/digital-assets/2023/08/25/tornado-cash-co-founders-charged-in-the-us-with-more-than-1-billion-in-money-laundering/?sh=5e3d76187b99" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">direct attack</a> on the open-source development space.In May 2024,&nbsp;Pertsev was <a href="https://www.dlnews.com/articles/people-culture/alexey-pertsev-accused-of-laundering-1bn-at-tornado-cash/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">found guilty</a> of money laundering and received a max sentence of 64 months in prison.&nbsp;Roman Storm's trial in the US is scheduled for December 2024. Its outcome will set precedents for privacy in web3 and the freedom to publish code.&nbsp; <h2>How to Help</h2>This project&nbsp;is fundraising for Roman Storm's defense and the associated costs in preparation for his trial. SEAL 911

Projects that prevent people from getting phished/drained/hacked/rugged. Almost everybody in crypto — especially those who are in DeFi — has been phished, drained, hacked, or rugged. Wallets are keepers of keys, but they don’t necessarily keep you safe. The projects in this category strive to make the wider Ethereum and web3 ecosystem a safer place. Every project in this cause must be an open source public good. Because privacy is a human right, and security is not a feature that users should need to pay for. The projects in this cause minimize harm, respect privacy, and avoid abusive or exploitative use‑cases. Examples are: web sites that revoke token allowances, browser extensions that block threats, and local-first open source software that secures your web3 activity instantly. Don’t become the next victim to a scammer. Protect your crypto and donate to this cause. Because the builders in this cause are fighting the good fight and deserve to be supported. Crypto wallets aren't eligible. While we applaud wallets getting more secure, the projects in this category should not get to see your private key and be given the power to potentially alter your transactions. They should be reading your transactions only.
