<h4>Summary</h4>The Alik Sacred Forest is the last home of the Higa-onon indigenous people, the sacred place to exercise their beliefs and cultural traditions, and the house of endangered species. 50 ha of the Sacred Forest are threatened to be bought by a mining company. We can buy it back and preserve it for perpetuity by giving it the status of common land. Support us in preserving biodiversity and ancestral knowledge. This is the first phase of a larger vision for building a tribal economy. <h4>Challenge</h4>Tribes in Mindanao faced major problems like deforestation, mining, wildlife poaching and land selling. Tribal members are under the shadows of the capitalist and outsiders. All of those problems had brought by the decades suffering of poverty and hunger. The absence of food security programs, start up capital and absence of natures defense had plagued the survival of wildlife and the rainforest. But it is not too late, we can respond this to defend the nature. <h4>Solution</h4> Those major problems have long term solution to defend the natures and tribes. The problems solutions are the following: 1. Finance sustainable food security, community regenerative livelihoods towards building tribal economy. 2. Finance forest defense programs such as forest rangers' compensation, rainforest inventory, wildlife protection and monitoring. FUTURO NATIVO (<a href="http://www.futuronativo.org" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">www.futuronativo.org</a>) is born to support our indigenous ancestors to rehabilitate the land, cultivate healthy jungles and share cultural traditions. Our mission is to protect forests and promote sustainable, economic growth in indigenous communities​. Currently we support 10 indigenous communities in the Brazilian Amazon, Peru, Costa Rica and Mexico. We have personal contact and lifelong friendships with each of the villages we support. Trust &amp; Transparency are our integral part of our Values and Ethics. All donations go directly towards the projects of: REFORESTATION &amp; CONSERVATIONWe support the villages to build tree nurseries to grow native species and begin agroforestry projects. We construct the nursery, source native seed and saplings and install water and irrigation equipment. We support the villages to reforest degraded land with productive species using agroforestry principles, to provide food security and a good nutritional diet to the inhabitants of the village. The surplus of these agro-forests can also be exchanged with neighbouring towns and villages and be used as an alternative economy. COMMUNITY, EDUCATION &amp; INFASTRUCTUREWe support educational events to share indigenous teachings and knowledge of the land with other indigenous and non indigenous neighbours, to understand why it is so important to keep the forest alive, stop deforestation of the land and how the forest can be productive. A typical 3 day event that invites indigenous leaders and non indigenous representatives of neighbouring towns, including food, accommodation and travel costs between $4000-$5000 for 100 attendees. MUSIC PRODUCTION &amp; ARTS The indigenous have long used singing as a way to tell their stories and deepen their connection with natures. The strength of their language and vibration of their songs are powerful and it's time to share those prayers with the world. We are supporting indigenous musicians by donating musical instruments, recording equipment, to produce professionally mastered tracks that can be released into our mainstream channels, Spotify, YouTube, Bandcamp, and SoundCloud. In traditional craft making, jewellery making and basket weaving the long linage of cultural craftsmanship still remains strong in the villages, we support (mostly women) in their indigenous crafts. We support the villages to produce &amp; sell their crafts within boutique shops and online stores. FUTURE VISION As stewards and guardians of the land Our Future Vision is to create large scale protected forest zones. Where land has been reforested and regenerated, this will be protected without threat from future exploitation. FUTURO NATIVO

Fund Indigenous custodians, land and water defenders, grassroots organisations and on Country practitioners driven by revitalisation of land-based practices, languages and the self-determined restoration of Country. These practices may include, but not limited to:<ul><li>Bushfoods &amp; Bush medicines - harvesting, planting, processing</li><li>Cultural burning - reducing risk of dangerous bushfires</li><li>Teaching younger generations - language, land-based practices, culture camps</li><li>Protecting existing Country and Cultural sites - fencing, feral animal control etc</li><li>Buying/re-aquiring new Country</li><li>Re-instating cultural flows to River systems</li></ul> Seventy per cent (70%) of your donations will be redistributed to partner organisations with proven track records, projects that are already active and have been proven to be effective on the ground. Ten per cent (10%) will be allocated to a legal fund for providing valuable legal advice, and twenty per cent (20%) will be allocated to a land fund to assist in the reacquisition of land. For millenia, and to this day, Indigenous peoples care for Country, because Country is integral to who you are, and how you relate to all things. This is governance through relationship. We report annually as part of our registered Charity reporting obligations, and these reports are publicly available at the ACNC website.
