<a href="https://vladimirfilmfestival.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Vladimir Film Festival</a> (VFF) is an independent skateboarding festival established in 2011, in Fažana, Croatia, by the skateboard club August Šenoa. It is a unique event in Europe. Its main focus lies on underground skate video production and independent projects, driven by the DIY philosophy that makes it a unique event not only in Europe but also on the world skate scene. Every year VFF brings new skate documentaries, skate videos, photo materials, art, and literature by various authors involved in the skate culture, from across the globe. Various skate videos and even some skate movies had their first world premiere at Vladimir Film Festival in Fažana. Although a place with less than 4.000 inhabitants, Fažana is also the center of the DIY scene on the Istrian peninsula. It had two concrete DIY spots and one skate park, all in a circle of 500 meters, not to mention the nearness of the sea and the beautiful sunsets. Since the DIY spots were located in two abandoned factories, they were torn down by the local authorities. The skatepark was also removed, with the promise of a better and bigger one, but it's still all in the words. In VFF's early years, the importance of the historical moment for underground skateboarding wasn't recognized, but things changed after the festival put Fažana on the world skate map and we even started a new DIY skate park/installation on a more secure place, in 2019. Every year we try to build some new parts. As our non-profit organization and activities rely only on our love for the most fun thing and on institutional funding, each year is a new challenge and support is not constant. Cryptomurals is a blockchain-based platform focused on promoting and preserving the best street art worldwide, making it accessible as a public good. Our mission is to preserve the cultural heritage with interactive web3 dApps and bring artists and active citizens together to build inclusive environments in public spaces. Cryptomurals Cryptomurals aims to be a living archive in the Ethereum blockchain that allows navigating the history of all the layers of murals painted over the years on the same wall - we call it "The Wallchain".&nbsp; Cryptomurals public gallery will be the digital home to curated geolocated murals, with a dynamic map that allows exploring cities in gamified street-art huntings. 2. Collaborative experiences We believe that art is for everyone.&nbsp;Cryptomurals run local initiatives to support artists to create murals and tokenize their artworks in cities around ETH community events.&nbsp; 3. Street art hunters community Our platform will allow a collaborative process where individuals provide insights on the state of the artworks by city, securing the preservation of the heritage and keeping the archives updated.&nbsp; The community will collaborate asynchronously in challenges around inclusion, culture promotion, and web3 adoption initiatives to fund street art as a public good while playing around. It's a tool that can be used by anyone who wants to make their city a more beautiful place. A geolocation-based scan system will allow participants to claim new murals and unlock exclusive content such as animations, AR experiences, or soul-bonds NFTs. &nbsp;4. The future of Cryptomurals Cities and art festivals can integrate Cryptomurals as the leading platform to archive the cultural heritage of the murals in their location. We want to make it easy for anyone to use web3 tools to share their local murals with others worldwide.&nbsp; Insights in the Cryptomurals platform will nurture the community's collective intelligence and the decision-making around local-run initiatives. Opportunities can include quadratic voting to promote new murals geolocations or support the renovation of existing spots. We are a group of street artists and tech enthusiasts from Latin America who believe in inclusion thanks to art workshops and renovation of public spaces such as basketball yards, Sk8 parks, etc.&nbsp; We believe in street art as a public good. &nbsp;5. Traditional organizations declined to help us. Web3 is making a full-length documentary possible. Our documentary plans to educate communities about predatory practices used by traffickers and establish a blueprint for Nigerians to leverage Web3 to address local issues.&nbsp; The Problem: A Human Trafficking Crisis in Nigeria Nigeria remains an origin point, throughway, and destination country for human trafficking. <a href="https://www.globalslaveryindex.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Recent estimates</a> suggest victims number over 1.3M, ranking Nigeria in the 81st percentile compared to other countries. <a href="https://www.iom.int/news/voodoo-curses-keep-victims-trafficking-under-bondage" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">In 2017</a> over 75% of women migrants arriving in Italy were both victims of sexual exploitation and hailed from Edo State, where Benin City is the capital. Victims of human trafficking experience <a href="https://www.corteidh.or.cr/tablas/23515.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">violence, imprisonment</a>, and <a href="https://pathfindersji.org/nigeria-human-trafficking-factsheet/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">sexual assault</a>. The <a href="https://www.state.gov/reports/2021-trafficking-in-persons-report/nigeria/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">U.S. State Department</a> categorizes the Nigerian government as attempting but failing to comply with accepted standards for eliminating this social issue. Rejected By Trad Organizations, Embraced by Web3&nbsp; <a href="https://people-dao.com/incubator/projects" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">PeopleDAO</a> funded us––a group of Nigerian journalists and students––to investigate the causes of human trafficking in Benin City, and how communities can respond. Our team reached out to traditional organizations for funding but they declined, citing the stigma of the topic and anxiety around openly critiquing the government. Crowdfunding a Documentary We seek to build on our initial coverage (<a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bj0Iw78jAQfGSEliNeAn5wYfVbww1Gry/view" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">article</a>, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIqvDBtpMgE" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">video</a>) and produce a feature-length documentary, The Lost Children of Benin City. Out project partnered with Singularity Media, who has experience placing content on major streaming platforms. A documentary would serve the function of sensitizing Nigerian communities, teaching them how to avoid tactics employed by human traffickers. Telling these stories pressures the government to do more, and also inspires global audiences and NGOs to commit resources. The Music Onboarding Machine&nbsp; Background and Motivation: I'm from Venezuela and have been fully immersed in the web3 space since 2017. Despite the challenges of operating without a debit card, my passion for what I do drives me forward. My journey began at age 14 with street music, and now, with a long-term vision for eco-tourism and social impact, I've found a unique way to sustain myself through original art and digital endeavors. Project Details: I do music in 432hz because i have found that is a healing frecuency and my motivation is to hold spaces for Mental Health and Quality Conversations The core of these iniative revolves around the concept of "Digital Street Music." I've been offering my music as a public good for various Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) and the organic web3 sphere. These services, facilitated through Discord communities, have become my main source of income across different projects and blockchain networks trough people's donations. Objective and Vision: My goal with this project is to use the Giveth platform to gather support for my experiment in Digital Street Music and to further onboard my local community. When I studied film at university I saw a pattern that goes far beyond cinema. Independent creators and students in every discipline struggle to survive in a world where funding, distribution, and recognition are controlled by centralized systems. Paintings, films, music, photography, and digital pieces often remain invisible, not because of lack of creativity, but because access is blocked by gatekeepers. This silences diverse voices and limits the cultural richness that could be shared more openly. Decentralized art offers another path. Communities can support directly, not through intermediaries, and audiences can discover works that reflect more perspectives and experiences.
