Diamante Luz is a space for integrated collaboration and cooperation with nature. Our residents, neighbors, and visitors have been drawn to the area in order to co-create a space for living and working in balance with all of our relations. As the first node of the Diamante Bridge Collective, we are passionate about the integration of permaculture and shared common land-based resources. We offer learning environments for ecological wellness and restoration so all ages can share knowledge and connect with the wisdom of this place. We provide spaces for things such as:<ul><li>Cultural centers for artisans</li><li>Processing kitchens for medicinal and food preparations</li><li>Syntropic food forests for food security&nbsp;</li><li>Mentoring those passionate about becoming leaders of local food movements&nbsp;</li><li>Environmentally responsible regenerative businesses</li></ul> All whilst offering the space for personal development through community interaction. We are an evolving eco-village of nomadic co-creators at the beginning stages of development with many opportunities for regenerative investment for the benefit of future generations.&nbsp; The land itself has drawn us in with two majestic waterfalls of dramatically different characters, a spring that is in need of replenishment through reforestation efforts, and a three hectare section of land that we have set aside as protected forest and waterways.&nbsp; Much of our work takes place in transforming the ten hectares of pasture into a thriving live/work community with opportunities for collective and personal land stewardship. The Revillaging Mutual Mentorships Program, a cornerstone initiative within the Diamante Bridge Collective, has evolved in 2024 to offer an enriched experience for individuals seeking to learn leadership skills, gain hands-on experience in community management, and contribute to ecosystem restoration.Designed by Dani Bellavita, this program is modeled after the principles outlined in the "ReInhabiting the Village" book project. It builds on bioregional networking, local circle leadership, socio-cultural exchange and public / private sector relationships. <img src="https://giveth.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmPTJX3KrsWR6M93z9gjSKAv7Szt9b5uDeNvf2vqDgXBpR"> <h2>Accomplishments in 2023:</h2>In 2023, the program achieved significant milestones, demonstrating the impact of the Revillaging Mutual Mentorships Program within the Diamante Bridge Collective, in the local community, and across Costa Rica. The DBC Visa program successfully brought local elder Desiree Wells onboard as a certified permaculture instructor, contributing deep knowledge of the region’s natural ecosystem. This achievement not only enriches the program for 2024, it also underscores our commitment to empowering local talent, supporting elders in the community, and fostering sustainable practices. Program founder Danibelle played a pivotal role in expanding network cooperation with the DBC across land-based community projects both established already and newly entering the Diamante Valley. Dani's efforts extend beyond local boundaries, addressing regional challenges by by cultivating collaborations, coordinating consultations and providing coaching to individuals both within the DBC membership and in adjacent organizations, teaching and speaking at no charge. Through our model of collective governance, we have provisioned the agreements for governing the land collectively by the community stewards, ensuring the land and the infrastructure remain a resource for all. Our Cultural Center's architecture is rooted in the unique "intuitive holistic architecture" approach developed for over 40 years by Reinhard Coppenrath. The process and design is connected deeply with the situation, the place and the needs of the people. By this all buildings are naturally supporting new learning, deep encounters between people and a profound contact with Nature. We find alignment in this method as it is based on the natural development of children and develops their spiritual, mental and physical abilities as well as their social behavior in a balanced and healthy way.Our program expresses the following characteristics:<ul><li>Promotes a space where learning is intertwined with the rhythms of nature, encouraging children to engage deeply with their environment.</li><li>Provides hands-on experiences where children learn about sustainability practices, the cycles of life, growing food and living in harmony with nature.</li><li>Works for all children and embraces the Whole Child – intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual.</li><li>Understands the various stages of child development. Every 7 days a group of volunteers organized by Los Higuerones and ASCONA both local and community-oriented organizations, go to a farm to help producers with different tasks. The main focus is to support local producers in improving their agricultural practices into more healthy and ecological ways for themselves and for their lands, supporting the food sovereignty of the area and the access to healthier products for the population of Puerto Jimenez. <img src="https://giveth.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmXdQgTsuXP6nisdiDXyXZdeZa7U3oetpWrtLgxtn9FPPR">Osa Weavers - Council of Eight All members of the Council of Eight have their individual unique gifts and network to share. ReGenerOsa Collective - A Bioregional Flow Fund

‘Promoting better economic, social, cultural and environmental alternatives for the OSA community’.&nbsp; Welcome to Los Higuerones!...We are a community hub that invites people to come together and connect in ways that celebrate equity, biodiversity, and culture in the Osa. Beyond a community hub, we are a project incubator that initiates and nurtures projects that provide accompaniment of local farmers, producers and artisans in the fortification of a local economic system. Over the last 4 years we have set up multiple projects that are strengthening the community ties and sense of solidarity among the local community. These projects are now looking for resources to expand their impact.&nbsp; ‘Our approach begins with building trusting relationships that facilitate accompaniment and mutual respect. This lays the foundation to initiate and incubate the projects that directly answer to the needs of locals and can be spun off to the hands of the local people over time.’ Besides our community projects, the spaces of Los Higuerones itself are living examples of how we can live more harmoniously within our natural environment.&nbsp;The non-built areas of the property have grown from bare patches of dirt to abundant permaculture inspired gardens for food, fertility, and fancy.&nbsp;In addition…the built space has been curated into a multi-use “campus” with spaces for workshops, classes, meetings, gatherings and the like as well as accomodations for hosting work-traders, special visitors and groups of people focused on support for our Osa community.&nbsp;

Indeed, we face a global emergency. However, there is reason for optimism: we still have the opportunity to regenerate our planet into one of abundance and well-being, with life at its core. What holds us back is the shortage of trained professionals and the widespread adoption of regenerative practices that demonstrate their economic viability and effectiveness in collaboration with nature—often faster than anticipated.At the University for International Cooperation (UCI), we have developed pioneering programs in regeneration. In 2018, we launched Costa Rica Regenerativa, a nationwide initiative showcasing successful regeneration methods. That same year, we co-founded the Regenerative Communities Network, connecting bioregional initiatives with global experts and mentors. Students worldwide have shown their ability to implement regenerative projects through these bioregional approaches.Many students, particularly from developing countries, including rural and indigenous communities, are deeply interested in regeneration but lack the resources to join the network of regeneration pioneers.This fundraiser aims to exclusively fund scholarships for young enthusiasts globally, enabling them to participate in academic programs and expand the global network. Our goal is to collaboratively devise solutions across diverse bioregions to address humanity's most pressing challenges.

Contributors are already meeting our monthly quota for community events, and we are in low season. Moreover, they have been able to complete 75% of the public service bounties. Our contributor network needs to continue to grow to meet the demand of the upcoming high season. ﻿💬﻿ Local Feedback &amp; ﻿🔍﻿ Knowledge SharingAfter evaluating all the feedback from our Season 1 participants, our community has some great ideas that weren’t in the original playbook. Here are some requests that we have already honored and are iterating on<ul><li>﻿🙋﻿ A place to “ask questions.” Early feedback was Upe was great for finding answers, but there was no place to ask a question. "Just give me something easy to consume” was a popular request. Upe’s kooks are the local do-gooders. The Clean Wave 

Our cause is to nurture a living, interconnected web of bioregions by recognizing and honoring the natural patterns of geography, hydrology, coastlines, and cultures that sustain life here. We believe in working with what is already alive and regenerating, offering our gifts in humble reciprocity, and strengthening the relationships — human and more-than-human — that make resilience possible.We gather to share stories, challenges, and possibilities, weaving local wisdom with global perspectives on regenerative bioregionalism. By listening deeply and collaborating across communities, we seek to bridge practices and patterns across cultures, ensuring that resource flows — from food and water to knowledge and care — remain diverse, abundant, and just.Together, we are building a fabric of solidarity that extends between and among activated bioregions in Costa Rica and beyond with digital networks and the larger global movement so that future generations may inherit thriving lands, vibrant waters, and cultures that know how to be a blessing to one another. The collection of groups in this cause allow for individual projects who have been active on Giveth and active among one another to join together in fundraising and strategic collaboration.
