<h2>ReFi DAO is a network society on a mission to regenerate the earth. ✨ 🌱</h2>ReFi DAO is at the forefront of the Regenerative Finance (ReFi) movement, a pioneering force dedicated to leveraging Web3 technologies to regenerate the Earth’s ecosystems and foster economic systems that prioritize ecological and social well-being. ReFi DAO emerged as a founder-led startup community during the rapid influx of talent &amp; capital that emerged in the 2021 ReFi boom. Since then, and thanks to the support of our community, we have become the cultural home of ReFi for top founders, investors and builders at the intersection of impact and web3. We are spearheading a transformational approach to environmental efforts on the island, which includes promoting sustainable practices among locals, tourists, and foreign residents. <h3>Our Achievements</h3>In the past year, ReFi Phangan organized multiple cleanups, including monthly Earth Day events, Songkran and Labor Day, joint cleanups with the Clean Phangan community and a few unnamed individual cleanups. We held 6 Regen Full Moon events and several onboarding sessions, introducing over 100 residents to regenerative finance and sustainable practices. Additionally, we successfully onboarded the Clean Phangan community to web3 through the Impact Product - NFT collection by EcoSynthesisX, creating a new revenue stream for ongoing environmental efforts.We started our activity with onboarding events in 2023, called Regen Full Moon, in collaboration with ReFi Phangan. We organized in-person onboarding events and workshops aimed at introducing the local community, NGOs, and individuals to web3 technologies and regenerative finance principles. These events are crucial in building a foundation of knowledge and engagement, fostering a community that is actively involved in sustainable practices. We have held 6 events with morning part - presentations and pitches and evening dance with attempts to implement sustainable environmental principles such as “refill” and “recycle”. In March 2024, we celebrated the Anniversary event together with ReFi Phangan and EcoSynthesisX. <h3>Our Goals</h3>To Boost Community Onboarding and EducationReFi Phangan is a pioneer of regenerative finance on Koh Phangan, focusing on community building through onboarding events to introduce more local communities, NGOs, and individuals to web3 technologies and ReFi. Additionally, we aim to organize sustainability-focused events and mini-workshops in collaboration with existing activists on the island.ReFi Phangan is committed to hosting impactful events to engage the community. We are a community of regenerators bringing the Mediterranean back to life. Members host frequent workshops about permaculture, syntropic agroforestry, blockchain education, bioregionalism, and much more using the website mego.cx Balancing traditional customs, and modern digital technology, we are forging a unique path in how we design and grow a sovereign regenerative economy. Sicily is a top international tourist destination, so providing regenerative travel and work opportunities for visitors is a big part of the transition. Financial support received from Giveth will go directly to supporting the on-the-ground projects to bootstrap and kickstart their enterprise such as seed harvesting, building nursery, beach cleanups, and other initiatives. What We Do The previous round of doonations helped us host a weeklong ReFi event where we-Planted 400 moringa trees that will provide super nutritious food for humans, biomass for soil, and habitat for animals and insects. -Kickstarted the foundation of a syntropic Agroforestry food forest and incepted it's title, "Butterfly Hill". -Made over 500 seed balls with native species -Held activities at 6 different locations around the bioregion. -Used dMRV platform Silvi Protocol to log the planted trees using smart phones and drone imagery. -Created an agroforestry ecocredit with Sunflower Ecotech -Writing a library of Italian language regenerative finance and permaculture educational content. In the past 6 months, we have onboarded over 60 people with wallets and have issued over 120 NFT tickets on Mego.cx for participating in mutual aid events from tree plantings to beach cleanups. Our main objective is to promote the growth and development of Regenerative Finance (ReFi) technology in Colombia, as well as to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among local nodes.
