Our aim is to nurture community conversations around Web3 enabled regenerative-oriented-innovations (ROIs) and empower the youth in Medellín to address some of our city's most pressing challenges through hackathons, incubation, and investment. These challenges include poverty, inequality, youth unemployment, and a general lack of access to resource flows such as energy, water, sanitation, housing, and education.<ul><li>Engage the Local Community: Host events featuring experts in ReFi, Web3, and urban challenges in Latin American cities.</li><li>Impact Onboarding: Any active ecological group or group of friends wishing to carry out an impact activity, such as planting trees, cleaning environments, collecting garbage, etc., can contact us and request support.</li><li>ReFi Medellín Workshops: Host ReFi Medellín events. <h2>Hello World! 🌊🐠✨</h2> <a href="https://linktr.ee/mesoreefdao" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">MesoReefDAO</a> (Mesoamerican Reef DAO) is a Regenerative Coral Reef Science project that focuses on the creation of a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) of DeSci (Decentralized Science) that seeks to scale coral reef conservation efforts in the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System. <img src="https://giveth.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmcpiDp3sBiJESWxLDWmXtfq8Wpht4xbqWHWo3zVosWKL4"> The Mesoamerican Reef is one of the most biodiverse and productive marine ecosystems in the world, providing crucial ecosystem services, such as coastal protection, fisheries, and tourism, to millions of people in the region. It stretches over 1,000 kilometers from the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico to the Bay Islands in Honduras (Fig 1). <img src="https://giveth.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmY51bBh2CakufUVZzY2g93ak8Qh69afUzcNM1tjCdDHwi"><a href="https://www.wwfca.org/en/landscapes/mesoamerican_reef/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" class="ql-size-small">Fig 1. A map of the Mesoamerican Reef, created by © WWF Guatemala.</a> MesoReefDAO is working to establish partnerships with local communities, NGOs, and governments to support the implementation of sustainable fishing practices and the development of marine protected areas in the MAR. MesoReefDAO General Framework.</a> MesoReefDAO is built on the Ethereum blockchain and is governed by a community of stakeholders who share a common interest in conserving and restoring the MAR. The DAO's governance structure is designed to be transparent, inclusive, and democratic, allowing anyone to participate and contribute to decision-making processes. The DAO's mission is to leverage the power of decentralized technologies to enable innovative solutions to the challenges facing the MAR. One of the key initiatives of MesoReefDAO is to develop a regenerative decentralized science (DeSci) offset program. The program will incentivize individuals and organizations to reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to MAR conservation efforts. The fund will support the development and implementation of coral reef restoration projects in the MAR region. The fund will be managed by the DAO's community and will be open to contributions from anyone who wants to support the conservation and restoration of the MAR. Overall, MesoReefDAO is a cutting-edge initiative that seeks to harness the power of decentralized technologies to address the urgent challenges facing the Mesoamerican Reef. Diamante Luz

Diamante Luz is a space for integrated collaboration and cooperation with nature. Our residents, neighbors, and visitors have been drawn to the area in order to co-create a space for living and working in balance with all of our relations. As the first node of the Diamante Bridge Collective, we are passionate about the integration of permaculture and shared common land-based resources. We offer learning environments for ecological wellness and restoration so all ages can share knowledge and connect with the wisdom of this place. We provide spaces for things such as:<ul><li>Cultural centers for artisans</li><li>Processing kitchens for medicinal and food preparations</li><li>Syntropic food forests for food security&nbsp;</li><li>Mentoring those passionate about becoming leaders of local food movements&nbsp;</li><li>Environmentally responsible regenerative businesses</li></ul> All whilst offering the space for personal development through community interaction. We are an evolving eco-village of nomadic co-creators at the beginning stages of development with many opportunities for regenerative investment for the benefit of future generations.&nbsp; The land itself has drawn us in with two majestic waterfalls of dramatically different characters, a spring that is in need of replenishment through reforestation efforts, and a three hectare section of land that we have set aside as protected forest and waterways.&nbsp; Much of our work takes place in transforming the ten hectares of pasture into a thriving live/work community with opportunities for collective and personal land stewardship. 🌍 Bloom Network is a cyber-physical social network that helps people find and participate in grassroots climate action where they live. <a href="http://www.bloomnetwork.earth" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">http://www.bloomnetwork.earth</a> IRL: 30 local Blooms in 9 countries on 5 continents, and over 30,000 people involved on the ground. Our participants include farmers, creatives, Indigenous leaders, and professionals who are working together in coalitions. 🌻 Solution: Local Bloom hubs connect existing projects in their region. They plant community gardens, teach people to form agroforestry co-ops, and build regional token economies focused on land and water stewardship. By leveraging Web3 solutions, AgroforestDAO fosters engagement through gamified governance, education, and reputation-building, ultimately contributing to the expansion of regenerative finance (ReFi) in the agricultural sector. The project seeks to establish intergenerational and perennial production systems that transcend traditional agricultural models by using community-based practices. The DAO's goal is to build a global community of stakeholders who support and participate in sustainable agricultural initiatives. We leverage the social validation that happens during tourism, volunteering, and regional events to attest stewardship while exchanging the culture. Some of our nodes are members of web2 volunteering networks such as Backpackers and Workaway and the demand for support from hosts and volunteers emerged. We’ve partnered with Ayowecca on multiple solutions including solar-powered security lighting and a fence to protect their nursery, a mobile solar solution to power their office&nbsp;operations and solar lanterns to replace kerosene lamps for over 100 local women. <a href="https://www.helpersfoundation.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Helpers Social Development Foundation</a> - Helpers Foundation’s primary focus is on education for vulnerable children. A secondary focus is on economic empowerment and health awareness programs in Nigeria. We have partnered with Helpers Foundation on multiple projects in Enugu State including solar power and a computer center for their primary school, solar for their community center, a solar-powered well &amp; security lights along with a storage tank to supply water for approximately 400 members of their community and a solar metering project, along with <a href="https://www.whynotswitch.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Switch Electric</a>, to be able to showcase the clean power that is being generated. <a href="https://omawatanzania.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">OMAWA</a> - Okoa Maisha Ya Watoto (OMAWA) supports and advocates for the needs and rights of orphans and vulnerable children in rural communities. We partnered with OMAWA in Tanzania to create a microgrid for their Iring’ong’weni Primary School which faced significant challenges of electricity and no integration of computers and technology in the delivery of their curriculum. This project provides clean energy from the sun to power classrooms used by approximately 800 children, staff houses and offices, security lights and a charging station for the entire community for phone charging and other productive uses.&nbsp; <a href="https://carefortheneedycharity.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Care for the Needy Orphanage</a> - Care for the Needy Charity provides education, love, hope and care for orphaned and abandoned children in Uganda. The Solar Foundation has partnered with this NGO to provide solar-powered lighting for increased safety and security outside of their building so that the children feel safe being outside after dark. This was our co-founder, Jon Ruth’s, first solar project in Africa where he helped fund a solar solution for their school and a solar-powered water pump for clean water. <a href="https://www.curamericas.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Curamericas</a> - This nonprofit partners with underserved communities to make measurable and sustainable improvements in their health and well-being by funding healthcare facilities around the world. We partnered with Curamericas to fund solar for their Iranda Healthcare Clinic in Kisii, Kenya. This 9.9 kW rooftop solar system provides 24 x 7 clean energy for the community clinic, maternity wing and refrigeration for vaccines and other medicines. <a href="https://www.footprintproject.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Footprint Project</a> - A non-profit focused on education and building mobile solar generators for disaster relief. We partnered with Footprint to fund 3 mobile solar generators and a Build Power training workshop for La Escuela Alejandro Tapia y Rivera and community members in La Parguera, Puerto Rico.<h2> </h2><h2>Why Us 🤝🏿</h2>The Solar Foundation team members have the background to execute this vision because of our combined experience in solar, crypto, web3, and research and our determination to have an environmental and social impact with the projects we build. We've preserved heirloom cannabis seeds in our off-grid seed bank, safeguarding Türkiye's agricultural heritage. Through distribution of over 16 million hemp seeds across diverse regions, we've expanded the regenerative hemp economy while working closely with small-scale farmers. Our developing decentralized micro-processing facilities address infrastructure gaps, ensuring economic benefits remain within rural communities while creating a network of living laboratories for agricultural innovation. <h3>Regenerative Cotton Project</h3>In partnership with Raddis Cotton and Hasat Cooperative, we transform conventional cotton cultivation into regenerative systems. Through integrated practices including cover cropping, minimal tillage, and biological inputs, we rebuild soil health in fields traditionally depleted by conventional methods. Our participatory research with cotton farmers develops locally-adapted protocols that improve both yields and ecosystem function while reducing dependency on synthetic inputs. Tickets to conferences are provided free of charge to anyone with financial needs, and our builder residencies always cover the full costs of room and board for all participants. We also offer travel stipends in some circumstances. We ensure inclusivity by uploading talks and sessions online and contributing to the open-source software ecosystem, advancing public knowledge and innovation in web3 climate technologies and funding mechanisms. All code produced during hackathons and residencies is free open source software. By connecting with inspiring minds and exploring topics such as environmental asset models, land stewardship innovations, and impact verification and measurement, we aim to facilitate incentive alignment, cooperation, and accountability to steward the Earth’s precious resources in perpetuity.&nbsp; Our mission is to transform the funding and governance of nature’s commons, such as the atmosphere, forests, oceans, biodiversity, freshwater reservoirs, and other ecosystems, by uniting the forces of Web2, Web3, research, philanthropy, and industry. Our flagship initiative, Chiguru Ecospace, is a certified organic farm and biodiversity education center passionately managed by Srivathsa Govindaraju, a software engineer turned farmer. Nestled in a lush green valley near Bangalore, India, our 13+ acre sanctuary is home to over 300 species of flora and fauna. We promote sustainable and chemical-free farming, native biodiversity, and eco-conscious living. The Carbon Counting Club is an effort to reward small scale carbon sequestration in small holder farms and gardens. Hosted by the sole proprietor businesses Simple Solutions with Jim and has 1,000,000 of operations insurance as a payment provider. Each Carbon Counting Coin is 1LB of CO2 publicly proven sequestered by club members. No tokens have ever or will ever be minted and distributed for any reason other than carbon sequestration to maintain the 1CCC=1LB of CO2 standard. CCC is highly liquid with a deversified portfolio of assets supporting and supported by the CCC. This ensures that people doing the work we want to see done can cash out and that we support a broader range of impact with our efforts. The club also has been working on collaborative storytelling to raise awareness and demand for building liquidity for impact projects. There are a series of NFTs based on things from our story each one with attached liquidity to perpetually support the CCC and a wide range of other impact projects on Polygon. We also have a series of in game currencies used for in game activities that also supports public goods by its use. The impact assets the Carbon Counting Club has permanently locked liquidity for include USDGLO, EARTH, Nature Carbon Tonne, Base Carbon Tonne, Moss CO2, Littertoken and, JLT-B23 renewable energy credits. The club also holds permanently locked liquidity in wBTC, wETH, and Matic to drive value into Carbon Counting Coin and all the other associated impacts assets. Any and all funding recieved will be used to deepen the exsisting liquidity pools to support the on the ground works of the CCC members and all of the associated assets previously mentioned.
