ReVillaging Mutual Mentorships Program
The Revillaging Mutual Mentorships Program, a cornerstone initiative within the Diamante Bridge Collective, has evolved in 2024 to offer an enriched experience for individuals seeking to learn leadership skills, gain hands-on experience in community management, and contribute to ecosystem restoration.Designed by Dani Bellavita, this program is modeled after the principles outlined in the "ReInhabiting the Village" book project. It builds on bioregional networking, local circle leadership, socio-cultural exchange and public / private sector relationships.Accomplishments in 2023:In 2023, the program achieved significant milestones, demonstrating the impact of the Revillaging Mutual Mentorships Program within the Diamante Bridge Collective, in the local community, and across Costa Rica. The DBC Visa program successfully brought local elder Desiree Wells onboard as a certified permaculture instructor, contributing deep knowledge of the region’s natural ecosystem. This achievement not only enriches the program for 2024, it also underscores our commitment to empowering local talent, supporting elders in the community, and fostering sustainable practices.Program founder Danibelle played a pivotal role in expanding network cooperation with the DBC across land-based community projects both established already and newly entering the Diamante Valley. Dani's efforts extend beyond local boundaries, addressing regional challenges by by cultivating collaborations, coordinating consultations and providing coaching to individuals both within the DBC membership and in adjacent organizations, teaching and speaking at no charge.Further to this, travel opportunities in CR and abroad were leveraged to bridge the DBC with other related networks worldwide, creating a global tapestry of collaboration and shared wisdom.Expanded Focus in 2024:Building on the success of past years, the 2024 Revillaging Mutual Mentorships Program has broadened its scope to dive deeper into critical areas such as non-profit set up and administration, operational process design, decentralized governance using sociocracy, and collaborative partnership engagement in regenerative finance and development of regional government relationships.Mentors and Mentees:Our mentorship program is a dynamic consortium of individuals committed to mutual learning and respect. Experienced mentors, including Dani Bellavita and other seasoned community members, guide participants in their transformative journeys. In 2022 and 2023, the program saw participants, including Krista, Lala, Nikola, Angie, Randall, Ara, Jeffrey, Lindsay and more fulfill specific roles within the DBC community and step forward into their own leadership. Members of the community also advanced DBC-suported initiatives such as the Recycling Center in San Salvador and the ReFi Costa Rica DAO launch in San Jose.Sharing Learnings Across Communities:A distinctive feature of the Revillaging Mutual Mentorships Program is its commitment to creating regenerative leaders capable of sharing learnings across diverse communities. Participants gain invaluable experience that they can bring back to their own communities, fostering a ripple effect of positive change. The program acts as a bridge, connecting knowledge and wisdom from different places, ensuring a rich exchange of ideas and practices.Scholarships and Grants for Transformative Impact:The 2024 cohort seeks funding at $3600 per person for three available roles spanning a three month mentorship period. This budget is directly applied to the living expenses of participants to ensure inclusivity and accessibility, and also covers program material and delivery costs. In 2024 we are excited to build bridges that open pathways for new funding streams, storage of value, and reward mechanisms in a land-based community context.Join us in shaping a resilient and regenerative future by supporting the 2024 Revillaging Mutual Mentorships Program.
